First of all let me start by saying AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Ok now that that is out of the way let me tell you about me. I grew up with divorced parents who lets just say didn't see eye to eye on anything but both gave me a good childhood. I had a wonderful stepfather growing up that he and his family treated me as their own and a mom that we have always had so much fun doing girl stuff baking, shopping, and getting dressed up. On my other side I'm a daddy's girl my daddy is one of the best men I know. And he's always there anytime anywhere and every function even now as I approach 40. I also had a great stepmother who loves me as her own and help mold me into many of the values I have today and I have adapted many of her parenting techniques sorry kids now you know who to blame and also who to thank. She always had us in church and even out of church taught forgiveness and compassion and to be thankful so so thankful for all the things large and small God gives us. I also have a half brother and step sister that I have always been close with. My step sister is the same age as me and ever since we met when we were 2 we have had an unbreakable bond. I have always been able to tell her anything and can count on each other no matter when or what for. I had a wonderful grandmother on my dads side that was always a Christian example of the godlily woman I aimed to be and fueled my love of crafting and creating there's nothing that woman couldn't make. I also had a wonderful grandmother on my mom's side that taught me family is always family and they are there when its good and when its difficult. And to the now me I am a wife to a wonderful man who is also my best friend and I am a mother to 5 super awesome kids well most of the time. Our kids range from 19 to 4 and there are 3 girls and 2 boys. We have a blended family he had 2 I had 2 and together we made 1. We have always been 1 big family from the 1st CookOut dinner trip to today and good luck figuring out whose was whose if you don't know us. My kids and husband are my whole world I've been a stay at home mom now for about 7 years and have loved every minute of it. I have dabbled in hobbies like gardening, breeding chickens, painting, and crafting but now I want to take my hobby and push it to the next level and share it with people on a grander scale. When I sat down to figure out exactly what that was going to look like I felt a desire to not only share my craft with the world but share Jesus also.
But here is where it halted sure I love being creative and making things with my hands but you see I am what would be called an introvert and I mean big time. Thank goodness you can't see me shaking as I'm typing this. So how was I going to overcome my anxiety of starting the conversation with a stranger. That's when it hit me clothes can make a statement without saying a word. So I created a brand for women to do just that share their love for Jesus in their clothes and accessories. So I got to work creating and making some shirts to start with and added some other items later. I spent months working on it here and there then finally one day my husband looking at the array of tee shirts hanging from our bed that had been there for quite awhile said so when are you going to launch this thing. I replied with I don't know I've been so busy with the kids and the house I haven't had time to finish product photos to add to the website. His response shocked me because he knows how much I contribute to our family. He said no you haven't yes you've been busy but you could have made time you're procrastinating. You know the devil wants you quit before you even get started. He's in your head telling you all the things you need to do instead. Don't let him win! And he was right it was just the push I needed to remember God doesn't give us more than we can handle. So I got to work and had the website up and running in a matter of 4 days. So I present you with Daughter Of God apparel and gift for women to share Jesus!
So that's how I got started and a little about me! As for this blog and how that started the website looked great but I just wasn't getting the response I had hoped for so I did some research and it led me to the conclusion the people that were to be my customers wanted a personal connection and that makes perfect sense its just so so hard for me to do. Remember Queen Introvert here. But I'm remembering my husbands words as I'm sitting here typing the devil wants me to quit to not share Jesus and to not help others share Jesus and boldly proclaim him as our Father. So here I go....
